DISTRICT 1 MEETING

January 19, 2019

Clean Air 12:00

Present: Kyle H, Lorie W, Maurine H, Ann R, Susan P, Suzanne T, Laurie S, Carol A, Marilyn.

Kyll opened the meeting with the Serenity Prayer at 12:00.

Laurie read the Oct. 20 minutes and they were approved as read.

Ann gave the Treasurer’s report stating beginning balance of $566.11, one deposit of $25.00 and an ending balance of $591.11. The report was approved as presented.

Kyll gave the District Assembly report:

• The Assembly will not rotate. It will stay in Abilene for the next 3 years

• Video conferencing is being developed

• Pipeline needs writers to submit stories

• Budget is the same through May 2019

• Finance committee approved the 2018 budget

• Group was reminded to DNR (Do Not Refer) to unlisted meetings

• Theme: There is No Standing Still

• WSO needs a member at large. See website for qualifications

Old Business:

• Alateen meeting is now 7:00 PM at Hobbs and their Wednesday meeting changed to 7:00 PM also.

• Touch of Soul is de-listing their Monday meeting

• Moss meeting will be de-listed. Marilyn objected. Carol moved to go de-list, seconded by Lori, motion passed 10-1.

• Kyll wants volunteers to visit other Panhandle meetings, asking they name a Group Representative and discuss virtual meetings for District and AIS. Lori volunteered to go.

New Business:

Borger Tri-City may not be meeting. Ann R will check and let Kyll know.

The meeting adjourned at 12:45 PM. Next meeting April 20, 2019, noon at Hobbs.
