ATTENDING:

Daniel opened the meeting at noon with introductions and reading of the Twelve Concepts of Service.
REPORTS:
Treasurer – Maureen reported balance of $2,784.99 with little activity other than donations from Top of Texas and Hobbs.
Minutes – January 14, 2023 minutes were approved as circulated.
District Treasurer: Ann S reported a balance of $340.37 with no activity since last report.
Answering Service – Carol A reported there were 18 calls in January and 8 in February.
Website – Susan P- Google My Business for the last 90 days: 319 visitors – 116 unique with 155 new and 32 prior visitors. The average visit is 4 minutes and 1 second.
Alateen – Maureen reported that Alateen is struggling and is trying to start up again. She reminded everyone taking calls to text her the name and number to return on Alateen inquiries. There are four full time sponsors and two substitutes. They have contacted all the counselors in AISD with information on Alateen. Only 2 teens are attending. The group suggested a short discussion of Alateen at group meetings and all anniversaries and other gatherings.
Groups:
Hobbs – The Wednesday face to face has on average 8-13and Friday has 6-8.
Clean Air – Friday evening meeting has 8-12.
Top – Wednesday meeting averages 8-14 and the Friday meeting 1-2.
Borger Tri-City – this group is restarting on Tuesday at 7:00 PM, same church location. New contact person is Kelly- 806 471 6836.
Spanish – Marie has attended District meetings and had many questions about Alateen. They are still active.
OLD BUSINESS:
General Assembly – May 5,6 and 7 in Abilene. Two topics up for voting:
Standard Mileage – 40cents/mile proposed. The group suggested tying reimbursement to the Federal reimbursement rate.
Reimbursement for Spanish interpreters – suggestions to pay for two night. Currently it
Is one night. Need to encourage more interpreters.
Members planning to attend: Daniel, Chris and Cathie.
Daniel proposed donating $100 each General Assembly in 2023 and 2024 for a total of
$400. DeDe seconded the motion and it passed.
Assembly registration fee is $30.
Cenikor – Cathie reported Lisa is the chair of this outreach program and has a full slate of volunteers who are attending. The time is still 15 minutes, sharing the other 15 with Naranon if they are present. The families are only required to attend one session.
Round-Up - September 28,29,30 and October 1 at the Botanical Gardens. Two donations of $1,000 each were received. The cost to hold the event is $10-12,000. The Saturday Al-Anon speakers are Larcene G from California and Rick J from Ontario Canada. They are encouraging early registration at $30 to have some cash. The contact: roundupAmarillo@gmail.com.
NEW BUSINESS:
Raffle/Food Festival – Ann moved to table this discussion to the October meeting. Chris seconded and the item passed.
Election – all officers are up for replacement or another 3-year term except for Chris at the October meetings.
Meetings – the group plans to meet in April and October before spring and fall assembly.
Next meeting is October 21 at noon at Hobbs.
